Stock bodied Camaros have gone faster at Bonneville. The official record is just shy of 300, while unofficial runs (not backed up in opposite direction) have gone almost 320. Like I said, not everybody does standing mile competitions. It may be the fastest Camaro in the mile, but it can't back up the claim of "world's fastest Camaro".

It's exciting to know that the 300mph barrier might get broken soon in 1 mile. Much more impressive than pin it for 2+ miles and see how high you can get.

There is always a few ******** in a thread, but this one is dominated by Marc 85Z28. Give credit to these guys, they have the fastest Camaro in the standing mile, and one of the fastest vehicles overall in the standing mile. Very few have gone over 250 mph.
The fact is the OP is WRONG. And Marc called him out. That is how I see it.
