Here's a link to some of my photography work so far. Have only been shooting for a few months now and using a Canon EOS Rebel T3 with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Type II Lens. All edited in Adobe Lightroom. Open to criticism.

Learning as I go, thanks for the tips. I haven't had anyone really interested in going outside of the car show so I can shoot their car, so car shows it is.
What would be a good approach for brightening the pictures up ? More exposure, longer shutter ?

Untouched photos look about the same, I don't go crazy editing them. But next go around, I will definitely keep an eye on the brightness as I can see what you mean by them being too dark. Thank you.

I have the same issue (look at my sig...that one is too dark) and I found it was due to shooting to make the previews look good on the camera.
Try making them look a step more exposed than it looks like they "should" be. The backlight on the LCD might be washing them out some so you could be adjusting to compensate.
Just a guess here...I'm far far far from a professional. Your pictures do look really good though. Just trying to give some constructive criticism to make them even better.
