playing with some plastidip.
All orange or orange with black bird would make it disappear back into the bumper and not be so much of a distraction
I did my truck in a custom pearl and will be doing my camaro trying to reproduce the cts color "Thunder gray chromaflair".
EDIT: They even have gloss out now so you can do satin or more glossy applications, and they said they will be coming out with a full gloss like a paintjob soon.
If you do it yourself, you're only expense is the vinyl, heat gun, and other basic accessories (razors, knifeless tape, etc). Which isn't much more than the plastidip + sprayer and accessories.
Vinyl will be more durable in the long run, lasting 5-7 years (good brands), provides paint protection, and feels nicer to the touch.
that said.. I'll probably be ordering some plastidip in the near future lol. got a color picked out, think it'll look pretty nice on the car for a little bit.

well, thats what i was quoted, I live in middle east so the prices are totally different so are the materials. am pretty sure most of the stuff here are Chinese but honestly if it would last me 2-3 years at a price of 350 i would b happy. Ive seen cars done but that shop and it looked pretty decent, although they were mostly black and golden.
The best base coat if not using black is gunmetal gray.

is it durable enough to last you 2-3 years?

Plasti dip sells for 30$ a can. while it runs for 4-6$ in USA. that sucks.
