I posted this on The Lounge but i think people will be more helpfull here. Does anybody know of any programs that can change ".wav" and ".ram" files into ".mpg" format? Any programs that can do either or?

a .wav file is an audio file. A .mpeg file is a video file. You have two seperate file types. What are you trying to do?

sorry a meant ".wmv" which i guess is a windows media file. Im trying to put these videos i DL'd that are in that format in ".mpg" because thats what my dvd maker takes, only ".mpg" files. so can you help out now? any programs for this?

I use vegas video 4.0 for my stuff. It should be able to do what you need. If you dont want to spend the cash, go to www.download.com and type in ".wmv to .mpg" converter. It should come up with something.

If you are using window os try the Tmpgenc converter it's very good&fast.(also very cheap&small file convertor very friendly interface and best of all you can try it for 30 or so days %100 free)

ill give that a try but i have XP. I tried download.com but the converters they have are crappy for the most part.

I think if your going to want good quality, then your gonna have to drop some bucks and get a nice program that can handle what you want to do.
