Vipers do sound like ****. Jon's right. It's the V10 firing order. Still, I'd drive one in a second.

 

who was the other car racing???? anyone notice that? looked like a mustang of some kind, probably an 03 cobra that flew by on the right side after the vette let out of it.

 

yeah, the looks of the car more than make up for it

 

it reminded me of the beginning of the chase scene in the movie Bullitt when the corvette started following the viper, with the music and the way the camera was set up

 

that is a 9 sec viper trapping 140s... both cars are bad *** wish i could do the same to my Z

 

Hmmmm. You get different stories on different boards. On my local board this Z06 only has a SC on it and the Viper has only spray.

 

Bring your skinny *** and your ***** snake down here for the gathering son, we'll just have to see about that

 

 

That was one HELL of a good video. I love the way they Z06 sounds!!!

 

I saw the black car at LWA a week or so ago. I believe the 408 vette is supercharged with nitrous and the Viper is SC, nitrous and propane. The viper runs 9.8s.

 

whoa the friggin speedometer looked like a tach on the vette imagine the speedo on the viper whoa and that does look like an 03 cobra on the side at the end.

 

yes the viper is a 9 sec car it a local guy here in chattanooga tn by the name of tony armor ( sorry tony if i misspelt the last name) its no slouch and the vette gets my props to hang as long as it did

 

man can those things move!!

 

I talked to one of the guys that was at that race today. I think his name is Tony, C5, heads, cam and nitrous, rear wheel wells tubbed. On race day the Z06 had just left LWA's with the just rebuilt iron block 408 in it, left Atlanta and drove straight back to Chatt. to race the Viper. The Z has nitrous but it was not hooked up. The Viper said later he was surprised at how close the race was. I guess that's why he sprayed in third gear. Vette owner is a huge guy (not fat) so the viper took a rider with him to even things up. Viper runs 9.8 at 145. The burn out is Robbie Walden in the parking lot at LWA's.

 

Either way! Those car are both insanely fast!

 

Wait till the Z gets his nitrous hooked up!

 

BTW - the Mustang that goes by at the end is an 03 Cobra, SC & nitrous....just trying to watch the race from up close I guess.
