Mild bolt on 5.0 goes 9's

Few bolt ons and a little weight taken out. Pretty impressive...

big hammer Oct 14, 2014 04:20 PM

Lol you must be new here

PA94Z Oct 14, 2014 04:23 PM

Fixed :)

scotty2000ss Oct 14, 2014 04:59 PM

Wish my car weighed that much lol.

Nick.H Oct 14, 2014 05:22 PM

this will surely cause a shit tornado

ohioborn80 Oct 14, 2014 05:29 PM

why this car is a bolt on car it I purpose built. Trans swap, full bolt ons, gears, lighter brakes, full suspension, ds, k member, race seat no other seats. Sealed stock coyote motor yes.

Fastest bolt on street legal still bolt on 5.0 is 10.75@125 owned by WBT who visits here once in a while. factory auto still and factory seal engine. Still driven on the street taking kids to school etc. race weight of 3450ish.

HioSSilver Oct 14, 2014 05:31 PM

Nice.....like I have said before. Welcome to 2002 furd fans. Very comparable to a ls6.

You of all people comparing a sports car to a pony car go figure.

HioSSilver Oct 14, 2014 05:38 PM

The ls6 engine ended up in a sedan....lmao. Once you get to the point you have a 2800lb race car like theone in the vid I don't think it really matters.

it's about engine and set up then.

Not until 2004 and even then you are talking about a low 13 second ride. So you saying you have a race car?

for bolt ons would disagree. 3000lbs race weight is slower then JOC car and .07 faster then WBT car that weight 3450lbs. And really can't compare to WBT as top one has a swapped trans. So would have to compare least number 2 to WBT car. and it weighs almost 600lbs lighter.

What's with all the Ford swingers posting video's that are not their own in the wrong section?

Hammer's bolt on ls1 hurt them so much that they have to live vicariously.

I am still waiting on Hammer to match any of my times I did in my old cars mod for mod. Or period.

Not even a C5z could run 9's without opening the motor up. Not sure how that's comparable.

If it had a bowtie on the front you would have no problem with it being posted. Who's the real fanboy? :swing:

I am someone who likes cars period, I like Chevys too in case you didn't notice the Camaro in my signature.

Fact is Ford did good with the 5.0 while Chevy utterly failed with the 5th Gen that can't compete in the 1/4... but, but, but it turns!

Hummer only street races.. he is to scared to go to a 1/4 mile where there are other people racing than his brother.
