That was a quick pass, but I raced in WERA and AMA events in the late 80's and early 90's when both organizations ran endurance racing at Talledega and Daytona. On our GSXR1100 endurance bikes we would run 175-180 mph for 4hrs at a time. My point is that the guy on the bike probably thought that was a ride in the park, its all relative on what your used to.

Elmer Trett wasn't as lucky when he crashed his at Indy in 1996. When he came off the bike he hit the wall and it broke his neck. That was the same weekend that Blaine Johnson was killed at Indy in his Top Fuel dragster.
