That happened to me in my mustang once. It blew the airbox into about 15 pieces and bent the throttle body blade into a u-shape around the blade shaft. It was not fun.

Puddling in the intake caused the backfire, due to a leaking solenoid I believe.....

That vid is like 3 yrs old
