Default Tail of The Dragon First Timer...Engine is hurt now

Had my bachelor party near Knoxville and hit the tail Thursday when it was a little wet and then on Friday when it was dry. that road did not disappoint!! if you've never done it i highly recommend it.

My car kinda survived. now its got a loud tick and shaky oil pressure. Sounds like its from the top end. i suspect a Lifter issue. i run 6 qts of 5w-40 and the oil change was done a few days before trip. Thing is i did have a misfire issue i was chasing down and couldn't figure it out before the trip so i just drove it anyways. it was strange how it ran, under 3k rpms it would misfire but after 3k the misfire completely went away. in chasing down the misfire i replaced my plugs, wires, and coil packs. no change to how it ran. it ran good enough for an 8 hour drive to Knoxville and then to hit the tail a few times. In my youtube video you can hear the engine noise after my run.12 minute mark is where the noise clip is at.

Trex cam, slow leak down lifters, stock rockers, dual valve springs. ujnsure on mileage on those components. maybe 20k ish

Watching someone cross a solid double yellow lines over and over on a road that isn’t closed is absolutely cringe. Shoot, speeding is one thing we’ve all done it but acting like u own the road when oncoming traffic was there on countless occasions is criminal. Thumbs up for all the epic pictures but a huge thumbs down for ur disregard of other drivers.

I hope ur engine is okay. 👍

Good looking TA! I would get a scanner and look at the cylinder misfire data to pinpoint the cylinder. Don't forget about checking compression and leak down.

Ive been riding that road for years and it happens non stop. Ive been doing motorcycle trips through there since the 90's on the back of my dads bike as a kid and even up until last year and people just don't care but it has become way worse since that place turned into such tourist attraction for anyone with an engine. Fun but I don't do it anymore bc of a lot of that
