Default GTO haters check this out.

This GTO only has custom 200hp nitrous, EWP, LT and CB. 3500TC.

Course since its BMR's they have their chassis parts and proprietary chromoloy driveshafts. At no time did BMR break the OE driveshafts with 10 11 second passes on them.

yeah on the second pass........ on way to a 10.80.

They have a iron 408 on the way with Lunati parts. expect to see a 9.90 GTO!

It took a very modded Cobra to run a 10.91 even had 9" and automatic trans conversion.

ummm... there are plenty of kb, upgraded half shafted 6sp cars running that time... there are plenty of 03/04 cobras running bottom nines now... there are going to be some running at HMP down in houston... and you can read up on one of the cars in the Houston Smackdown Series

I'm not saying BMRs GTO is a world beater but look at what it took for them to run 10.98. No KB, trans or a solid axle swap. My point is Cobras put down some power but they arn't alone.

I like them but i just wish they didn't look like a grand am/ grand prix or whatever they're called...if i remember correctly the old GTO's didn't look anything like that...

Thats a rhetorical argument. I will only say If GTO/Tempest had have remained in production it would have turned into the car today.

Whats not to love RWD LS1 6 speed and some are now selling for $27800 if you finance.

I could run a 10.80 tomorrow if I felt like it. I sure hope you're not trying to insult me. If so, that was a pathetic attempt.

Just so you know, 10.90's in a '03 Cobra happen every day on STOCK rear end with a STOCK T56. I've been 11.20's on a tiny shot of nitrous. Up that shot and 10's are a no problem.

BMR did a great job by getting their GTO into the 10's.

edit: I'll be in Chicago in less than a month if you want to test me.

why would I try and mess with you or any cobra owner, alot of people just think they are the only car that will go 10s. So pathetic attempt? sorry to misconstrude you unit213 but thats not the case.

Don't mind me brotha. Too much drinking tonight.

You'd see that I gave big props to BMR if you read their post in the GTO forum. I'm no hater. They did a great job and deserve credit. It's a very impressivel thing they did.

You have to realize you arn't the only person with a Cobra unit213. I work with a guy that has a '03 cobra that speed inc. tuned to 460rwhp with basic mods. So I get to listen to a cobra guy did this and that all day long. He talks about it like its the fastest car in the world.

460rwhp is nothing. I completely understand that. I made that a long time ago. My car feels slow as dirt. Anything less than 1000rwhp is a turd IMO. My perspective is getting extremely skewed these days after seeing my boy run 7.1's.

I'm with you, man. I used to think the fact that an LS1 could put down over 300 RWHP in stock form was insane, but now, 500 RWHP doesn't seem that magical. Awesome, yes, but being exposed to so many fast cars on a daily basis, it loses some of its flair.

Exactly. I talk about my car making well over 500rwhp and my buddy talks about his making over 2000rwhp in the same breath.

I don't know about that. The GTO is pretty nice regarding it's interior and we all know the potential of the motor. The problem is the exterior.

...and here is mine:
if someone where to walk up to me and offer me a band new GTO for my 2000 SS, i would probably be offeneded. I may however buy my wife one, because to me the gand prix was always a woman's car.

dont know about the whole car, but the motor itself is alot better then any stock ls1/ls6
