Sweet, A good friend of mine used to race those. Some of those guys have more invested in those cars than some of us in our real cars.

The record a few years ago was a little over a 100MPH, prolly broken by now. A couple years ago before I was big in to cars I use to read all the RC magazines since I was about 9 or so. I remember they built a dual electric Tamiya on a bad *** electric chasis, and it hit like 86MPH. Not bad, problem is, that **** breaks, you gotta walk all the way out there and get it.

i've still got a 41 *****'s that i bought off an old friend of mine. different size motors, gears, tires, batt. packs, etc. it was damn cool when i did it too, only like 3 or 4 times though. i was supposed to be put in some bi-monthly publication too, just a mention of me, for cutting a perfect light and backing it up. you even apply this stuff to the tires to get them sticky, and the track gets prepped too with like pop and sugar water or something. don't know what they use now. when it's got traction though, and you're running a micro switch for instant full power, it's impressive what those things will do. and you get a printout of your run at the end too!!!

later,
Dave
