Yup it was, pretty much sounded the same. The difference is that we adjusted the mixture screws a bit more so the motor actually revved nicely. Its still running lean hence the pop after the rev's. There is still A LOT of tuning to do - Adjust the timing curve, jet the carb and reset the valves. I'm sure its only going to sound better after all that.

Thanks guys, yeah I can't wait to get it out on the road. My problem though is exhaust... I have a spohn tranmission crossmember with a spohn torque arm and a DS loop. I also have longtubes so running exhaust is a PITA. I also need a new rearend but I'm all out of money. I have the stock 10 bolt with Richmond gears and an Auburn posi with 28 spline axles. So I'll see how long that holds up for.

BTW, you have any pics of your car, both outside and underneath?

as of now i had some ghetto muffler shop to do my exhaust, your exhaust will hang very low, my long tubes hit alot, especially the crossmember, i had my crossmember custom made and it is very big and thick. we didnt want the trans moving around at all. my x pipe and crossmember will sometimes hit speep bumbs.... however it sounds unmatched and like a freakn Nascar at 5000-7000!
