True, but flames out the exhaust has been cool forever. Makes sense they'd do it too with their little 4 and 6 bangers and solo exhaust.

no it makes the exhaust act like it's own combustion chamber to keep the turbo spooled, this is how WRC cars make 6psi of boost at idle.

i think i'd probably like the show a lot better if they drilled a few vent holes in the lids of their trunks and filled the spare tire well with gasoline a few minutes before doing that.....
