Peter Max did a Monte Carlo that Dale Earnhardt raced several years ago. I can remember Dale getting asked about the paintjob, and his response wasn't positive. It was obvious that he didn't like it at all.
Peter Max also did the cover for the Indy 500 souvenir program a few years ago. That was probably the worst piece of car artwork that I've ever seen.
Being an automotive artist and car guy myself, it just makes me sick to think of what's going to happen to those cars. He obviously knew that picking Corvettes would really irritate people. That's how some artists get their kicks....they like to upset people with their "art".

WARNING: You may want to have a pair of sunglasses ready. The guy doesn't use any color that's darker than bright red.

As stated above, there is a reason he chose vettes. It got people talking. Who would car if it was any other car. I hope he doesnt, but he has every right. The vette and the Constitution of the United States are equivilent. I'd rather they were "confiscated".
