wmv format vids problem with windows XP service pack 2?

Default wmv format vids problem with windows XP service pack 2?

i have a problem with the wmv format vids every time i want to right click and to save as the wmv file it shows that the file is a text file and NOT a windows media vidoe file? i run windows xp service pack 2 and i thought the problem is from this version of windows xp i mean the SP2, any one has solution for this problem?

Need to fix your file associations

Probably the easiest way to do it would be to open Windows Media Player from the Start menu, and then go to the Tools menu in it, select Options, go to the File Types tab, click the Select All button, and then click OK.
