what i find funny is not one car in this thread has anything more than stock type mods on it. be it a stock reproduction hood or wheels or whatever. not one custom mod in this entire thread. and yet HE is the one getting flamed. seems kinda, hypocritical to me...

 

Ummmm did you look at the car? The reason I have no exterior mods is becasue I would rather spend my money to go fast than to look fast....my car looks 100% stock and has the potential to run 11s the way it sits!!

Most F-body guys don't touch the exterior because they think the same way...I have Welds wheels for racing, and I am painting my wheels black that is it.....

Some people want an all around car some want looks, what ever...but this thing has to be the dumbest looking piece of junk ever! I mean it started out half way nice (no idea what is done to the engine) now it is just a monstrosity!

 

im not saying whether it looks good or not. personally i dont think it does but that guy has a **** TON of man hours and experience in that car. he converted from a hatch to a convert for cryin out loud. a feat in and of itself seeing as how not one single civic EVERY came from the facotry as a vert.

secondly he obviously doesnt give a **** about running 11s. to some people they like their car to look good (in their eyes). some people (myself) like to have thier car look good as well as run good both in the turns as well as in a straight line. but to sit and bash that guy IMO is very immature and tactless.

Ah yes, the "open minded". Got to love them, eh? In their PC liberal delusion, everyone is right in their own way, and everyone is a winner. Stupid crap that is ruining this country at an ever increasing (and alarming) rate.

Compeition is human nature. The fact is some will win, and others will lose, some will be right, and others will be wrong. Competition is so much a part of our nature, that we will quickly band together in small communities and begin rejecting everything else. It's why children, with no outside influence, will start teasing each other. It's who, and what, we are. If you PC types (only 2 in this thread so far) are so offended by it, I would suggest more hobbies. You clearly spend too much time worrying about other people and wishing to control them.


Now, to be fair, I don't know you guys. You might not be liberals, so I don't want it to be assumed I'm wrongly accusing. But that whole stance of "everybodie's right, in their own way" certainly is a liberal ideal. As such, this is too perfect to not post. lol



BTW - fast cars look fast. The exception is sleepers. The whole point of sleepers is to fool people (such as when you want to shark them). This works because sleek, powerful looking cars are assumed to be fast. There is a definite mental association. Making a car look fast without being fast is the opposite of a sleeper, it's a ruse. It's fake. In otherwords, it's Rice.

Say all you want about it being his car, and his choice, and "if it makes him happy" or whatever, the bottom line is, he's either completely fake, or essentially "programmed" by the ricer community into thinking that's some how cool (though it doesn't change the fact that it's fake). In either case, it's fecked up and not worthy of respect. Quite the opposite really.

No matter how off the wall you try to make your comparison the fact still remains, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I use this website as an example, fbodies are hideous, not much you can do to change that, but I am sure everyone here thinks they are appealing, truth be told I would compare it to your dog feces analogy. sure its artwork to you but to me its just a peice of ****, but I can respect everyone here's like for ****. to each his own is how the saying goes.
