Conflicting Opinion Hi, I've already got GMMG, I wanted to get QTP 1 3/4 race headers, with and ORY with cutouts. I've heard some say that there's rasp unless you put CATs, others say no rasp. I've searched ls1sounds.com, and they don't have a clip of the above, does anyone else have this setup? Would I be better off with CATs? I'd like to take out the AIR and my 01 doesn't have EGR, opinions please.
With my set up, there was a little RASP around the ~2K RPM. I bought a bullet muffler to stick in the Y pipe to fix that. But, I ended up putting the 4K stall in first so, I dont see the ~2K RPM's anymore. Sorry I could not be more help but I would say do it. If it is to RASPY for ya, then slap in a bullet muffler in the Y pipe instead of some High Flow cats.. Just my .02. Good luck.

I think in the link i attached, one of the guys had a sound clip. Maybe see if he still has it.
