Default Photoshop 7.0 Help

I just got Photoshop 7.0 installed and have been playing with it for an hour or so. I need an experts help....I am trying to put one picture ontop of another, but I want to see both pictures, seethrough?? I know it has something to do with one layer ontop of another but what do I do to the pics in the layer.

Thanx in advance,
Aaron

open both pics. then press and hold ctrl + alt with left mouse button pressed, on one and drag it to the other one. It will make it the to layer. Then look into your layer window (if you can't see it, then click WINDOW>Layers). click on the top layer and then look at the top of the layer box and look for opacity. Usually it is at 100%. You can change this to whatever percentage, and the pic will only show that much.
