good video editing software...

I was looking for a free video editing program that you could save the editid video as a .mpg or something that will play in windows media, everything I found is a trial and I guess you can only save it to view in that program, anybody got something usefull...

for the average use Pinnacle Studio 10 is the perfect solution! And if you really want to get into it Adobe Premiere is the way to go.

Edit: Sorry I didnt see the word free, in that case if you have Windows Xp use the Movie Maker that comes with it, not a bad program for free
