No, it ain't so.
That race was what, 0-35? Seriously, that wasn't a race.
The Carrera GT has been said to be one of THE trickiest cars to get a halfway-decent launch out of, let alone a good one, due to it's tranny and clutch setup. If you don't think so, then read just about every review written on it.
2nd, and who really knows, but I'm sure the CGT guy isn't a Mario Andretti behind the wheel either.
And last, a Lightning would have to have killer top end to run away or even NEXT to a CGT. Those cars trap 133 MPH and are made for running ridiculously high speeds while handling just as crazily.
That video proved nothing except that there was a modified Lightning next to a CGT that couldn't launch and hang up to the street's speed limit (if even that).
Still a good video though: the CGT sounds absolutely amazing.

Dunno if that Carrera was really running, doesnt appear that he was. However, the owner of that Lightning posted it up when I originally saw the vid and he has several mods done to that truck, among them being a Kenne Bell SC. Supposidly its a 10 sec truck in full drag trim (slicks, etc) so Im sure its pretty quick on the street too.

Any and all of the above could be true, but one thing is for sure: that truck has a bar visible through the rear window=most likely quicker than 11.5. My guess is most owners of CGTs would be lucky to see an 11sec. slip of their own.
