How do you extract audio from a WinRAR archive?
How do you extract audio from a WinRAR ZIP archive? A "friend of mine" has some audio files that he downloaded and he does not know how to extract music from a WinRAR ZIP archive? Do you know how to do this and what "free extraction software" is available. PM me if you like....

Title corrected - it is not a 'RAR ZIP archive', it's just a RAR archive.

It's been used on things like that for quite a number of years. It's a less 'mainstream' format which the average person won't know how to open, and which most software that scans archives looking for stuff isn't able to read.
