Default photoshop question

im not to ps, when im lassoing say my car, so i can put it over a dif background or soemthing, i cant keep myself steady when going around it, is there a way to stop or pause in the middle of the lasso then continue, where u dont have to constantly hold the mouse and do it all at once

if not what are some tips for using the lasso tool

Don't use the lasso, use the quick mask instead.

i use a stylus and pad, works awsome if you have shaky hand with a mouse

If you are dead set on using the lasso, you can take a break and add to it. Hold shift to add to your selection, hold alt to remove from your selection.

use pen tool to make a path, save path, and then make path a selection
