Not to bad of a night but it seemed like there was a black GTO meeting there lol there was 4 black 05-06 GTO's PLUS there was 3 other various colored GTO's. My 2nd run in the video was against an 06 GTO i believe. Last weekend or the week before i forget i was at jegs getting some nitrous jets for my mustang. Well this dude kept bragging about how his new GTO was just awesome and it was faster then hell blah blah blah. Well this guy is who i ran in the 2nd run . He was kinda an ******* too after the run i was looking at my ls1m to make sure there was no KR on the run or anything bad. He pulled up next to me an honked i rolled the window down. He goes "how much you spraying" ehh just a 60-70 shot i replied. He kinda paused gave me a weird look like he thought i was spraying more. He said "i had ya pretty good at the start i knew you was spraying" ok sure thing man yeah i couldn't launch no traction. He explains he's got nitrous on his GTO he just hasn't used it yet, i said that's cool it's pretty fun to use. He replies "ahh these cars are slow i have faster ones at home" saying like i gave a **** if you had faster ones and the GTO is so slow why you driving it bragging about it everywhere you go. So i yelled over yeah i have faster ones at home too , and he rolled his window up an left. I know there's all sorts of owners of cars but i have yet to really meet an ******* like that in a mustang or an f-body.

Overall i was pleased even though i couldn't launch good i have old bald *** tires on it. I was getting alittle spin at the beginning but i was launching it really light stalling to about 2000rpm an rolling onto the gas. From my ls1m scanner i could see i wasn't even getting to 100% throttle till about 4500-5000rpm in first. And the spray runs i didn't even hit the spray till the car shifted to 2nd so i have no doubt the car could hit low 12's with some traction N/A and high 11's with traction on the spray .

Seemed like somewhat decent launches to me. Better tires could have helped alot though. I don't know what it is with some of the guy's that own the new GTO's but they are some kinda ********. It's like a new breed or something.

The launch's were not bad but they coulda been alot better, since i didn't even get to WOT till the top of 1st. Just shows it has more in it, yeah i dunno what was with that GTO guy none of them talked to anyone else they all stood in their own group an circle jerked each other for owning GTO's i guess lol.

 

Nice times, mid to high 11s with that mph and stall.

How did you launch your converter? I stalled it up to about 2-2500rpm and launched do you stall it up or do you flash it?

 

I stall it up to 3500 and then release the brake. The car launches and then I go WOT. Have to launch right with the nittos or you'll hear wheelspin. I have a vid marked 12.27 at the bottom, you can see the rear of the car sit up.

I'll have to try that whenever i get some decent tires. The crappy bald street tires i have on it now wouldn't hold traction for crap that's why i stalled it about 2500rpm and i was still getting a bit of spin off the line although it doesn't look like it in my vid.

 

Nice runs.. I'm just picturing the on the GTO drivers face till about mid track only to see this TA come blowing by. Then I'm pretty sure he looked like this
