PhotoShop 7.0 Question

Many many ways to do this, you can use extract, magic wand, lasso, etc...
My favorite way is to duplicate a layer of the background pic. Then close the eye of the original background pic and just use the eraser to crop out what you don't want on the duplicated layer.
Then when you get close to edges you might have to turn down the eraser's opacity to around 80% or less. And make sure you are zoom'ed in for best detail, oh and start with the highest res pic you can.
Save that Photoshop pic you just did as a .PSD/.PDD format pic. Then you can drag and drop the object into another project (new background).
