Most of these guys are all about teh competition of being loudest. Alot of them dont sit in the car when the competition is goin on for fear of goin deaf. Its crazy. Im in love lol

There's a local place where I got my car tinted, they're building a box in the back of an '80s Astro Van to hold 4 15" Memphis subs. The box takes up everything from the front seats back and they say it's going to have about 8000 watts. They're doing it for some competition.

That setup was weak! Where is the bullet proof glass? 
Most comp vehicals dont have alts anymore. We keep the cars pluged into BIG 16 volt charges when they are not in the lanes to keep the 60 or so batts charged. Its a lot of hard work just to a SLP score on a board. The cars are tuned to play one note so its not like you can listen to music anyhow.
is there even an alternator strong enough to keep the battery charged for that much power run continuously?
