Yes. Nitrous Pete put one into the 9's shortly after KB released the 2.2L with 29+ lbs of boost and an undisclosed size shot of nitrous on a stock bottom end. The article said not even the valve covers came off. Which makes sense as there aren't many valvetrain mods now and none then.

I'm a pulley change/ injectors/ tune away from 600+. Mine put down 527 with stock exhaust at around 13lbs. So I'm merely speculating about output. If Unit chimes in here I believe he's putting down 620+ (without the spray)

The 2.4L never really gets to shine on a street car as their sweet spot is 21+psi. I will only see 21/22lbs at the track on 100oct. I have yet to hear any efficiency differences between the 2.2 and 2.4 at the same psi. Of course the push more air at higher rpm's. Lethal Performance is working on an adapter for the 3.3L Whipple to mate to the 4.6

Whipples are the **** Then again, you could put a procharger running 8lbs on an LS1 with the 6.0L truck heads and an F7 blower cam and push 600rwhp easily. A friend of mine just did it. It wont make as much torque but it wont get as heat soaked either because you have the option of running meth injection.
