Ok, I'm good now. Just commonly refered to a 350 as a 5.7, but never calculated it.

Thanks for the props guys! I'm real happy with how the car runs and looks. The motor is a 3.905 bore with stock crank, Callies rods, Diamond pistons, and ARP hardware through out. I turn it 7100-7200 and it just keeps on coming! I've been having a lil tranny trouble and haven't been able to powershift as normal. 3/4 fork is wore out, but T56 Rebuilds is building me a tranny so the car should pick up a lil when I can powershift it again.

t56 rebuilds did an exellent job on my tranny, i can bang the hell out of the gears and it just takes the abuse! also shifting is easier and smoother.

How about ,|,, as far as telling somebody dont start, they are 3 gen small blocks but are not what is considered a traditional SBC as in an old school 350.

That's one of the best videos I've seen. I posted a video a few days ago with one of the sickest sounding (non-cammed) SS's I've heard to date. Well, yours is the best sounding cammed SS I've heard so far. Very sweet car. Have any pics of yours, and the '67 by chance? BTW, I made a .wav file out of your car starting up. Now everytime I start Windows, I hear this:

John02SS beast...

I'll try to round up some pics of the cars. Maybe a few together shots would be cool. First year and Last year together!

Silverzz28, I gotta pull the tranny out as the 3/4 fork is done in mine. I'll have my new one in hopefully weekend after next. As soon as I have all the forward gears.......... come on with it! Leave the bullshit in Daphne though!

8cylinder, Thanks buddy! I love the way it sounds, real happy with how the exhaust turned out. BTW.....I stole your .wav file, that is friggin awesome! Thanks!

No problem! After all, you own all rights to the .wav 'cause your beast provided the growl!

Very nice clip and extremely nice cars!

However I'm suprised nobodies mentioned this yet, racing the '67 with a 4sp from a roll is just wrong. Number one, of course you're gonna pull him up top, he's not gonna run very fast as far as top speed goes. When you all let off and you had just started pulling him, your speedo said about 120 it looked like. Well that's right on point with an old school 4spd in a geared car. He's probably got gonna go more than 130ish max, and it's gonna take a lot longer to get there than your SS.

Plus, that's classic iron man, old school. You two should be running from a dig, tires or no. I wonder how many Camaro's, Chevelles, and Nova's of the day went around racing each other from a 40 mph roll. That's just wrong.

You have no clue about what you are taking about. The 67's G-Force 4 Speed (read not an old school pos Muncie, it's a G Force clutch assisted $4500 transmission) has the same 1.00 4th gear as the T56. They raced until fourth. He is at NO disadvantage with the 4 speed, if anything it's an advantage as you DO NOT TOUCH THE CLUTCH TO SHIFT. They went to about 130ish or a little more. The 67 turns more RPM's too and they have the same rear gear. So what were you talking about again?

The 67 owner has never drag raced a day in his life (well once, read on), he circle track races, so running from a roll isnt a big deal to him. He did take the 67 to the track once with the Tremec 3550 and it the trans broke on the line. That car is LEAP years ahead of any stock junk that couldnt run from a roll in the 60's, people didnt run from a roll back then because a majority of cars were slow and everything was overgeared. The 67 has big *** Baer Brakes and 17's, it's not exactly the run of the mill draged out first gen.

If you are gonna come in a thread bitchin, at least know what you are talking about first.
