H/C/I 02 SS vs Solid Roller 67 SS!
I've been having a lil tranny trouble and haven't been able to powershift as normal. 3/4 fork is wore out, but T56 Rebuilds is building me a tranny so the car should pick up a lil when I can powershift it again. John

Silverzz28, I gotta pull the tranny out as the 3/4 fork is done in mine. I'll have my new one in hopefully weekend after next. As soon as I have all the forward gears.......... come on with it! Leave the bullshit in Daphne though!
8cylinder, Thanks buddy! I love the way it sounds, real happy with how the exhaust turned out. BTW.....I stole your .wav file, that is friggin awesome!
Thanks!
Thanks!
I've watched it about 20 times so far! Last edited by SILVERZZ28; Aug 29, 2006 at 11:49 AM.
However I'm suprised nobodies mentioned this yet, racing the '67 with a 4sp from a roll is just wrong. Number one, of course you're gonna pull him up top, he's not gonna run very fast as far as top speed goes. When you all let off and you had just started pulling him, your speedo said about 120 it looked like. Well that's right on point with an old school 4spd in a geared car. He's probably got gonna go more than 130ish max, and it's gonna take a lot longer to get there than your SS.
Plus, that's classic iron man, old school. You two should be running from a dig, tires or no. I wonder how many Camaro's, Chevelles, and Nova's of the day went around racing each other from a 40 mph roll. That's just wrong.

The 67 owner has never drag raced a day in his life (well once, read on), he circle track races, so running from a roll isnt a big deal to him. He did take the 67 to the track once with the Tremec 3550 and it the trans broke on the line. That car is LEAP years ahead of any stock junk that couldnt run from a roll in the 60's, people didnt run from a roll back then because a majority of cars were slow and everything was overgeared. The 67 has big *** Baer Brakes and 17's, it's not exactly the run of the mill draged out first gen.
If you are gonna come in a thread bitchin, at least know what you are talking about first.
