Not sure of the altitude. It was almost 90 out though, in the upper 80's. I've been running slow all summer.

I had a different 02 Z06 a year ago with even less mods and hp, and ran a 12.41 at 117, in a February.

I think the aluminum flywheel might be losing some inertia during shifts? Not sure. Seems like it doesn't slow down at all. /shrug

Maybe its just hot.

Maybe I can't drive~

I bet it will move like that out of the hole if it had AWD...

I ran a new SS silverado and got raped out of the hole on street tires once.
Once I hooked it was all over, to bad he shut it down the second he saw me screaming towards him.....

Wish he would have stayed in it so I could have taken him to school bad....

It was cool running against your car, Fletch. That Z06 is sweet. It was pig hot and the track was a bit greasy that day so neither one of us were sixty footing all that great. It is a bitch to get a 7,300 pound truck into the 1.7's though.

We were tweaking our EFI tune for less fuel and better rail pressure and it worked out pretty well. Using less nitrous the truck was going faster with a best trap speed of 116.20.

The tune I was running dyno'ed out at 758HP and just a shade under 1600 foot pounds. Mods to support it include a full Suncoast race trans, exhaust, intake, injectors, A1000 fuel pump, bigger turbo, nitrous, a torsen diff and slicks.

Look forward to running with you again at the track.

brothers friend has a duramax with a shift kit, chipped, full exhaust. i'm going to run him next time i'm back home, should be interesting. i know i'll get walked from the hole but a rolling race i might be able to keep up if not beat him. thats my guess, but i'm probably over rating my stock Z.

very interesting

my cousin over in Chandler, AZ has a new 6.6L Diesel Chevy with that extreme edge package (sp?)

he was talking about on the max setting 500hp/750t but you have to drive it around a little before the settings take full effect

he was pretty confident he'd beat me... so i guess yeah.. he would definately.

i figured they would weigh too much.. i guess not

It's quite impressive to see in person. It was the only vehicle out there that made my jaw drop.

Serisouly, imagine that engine in some bland unsuspecting sedan. Even more so if it was pretty lightweight.

"nah it's not fast its just a deisel" As they then proceed to smoke a C6 Z06
