Digital Still Camera advice?
Hello, i'm looking at purchasing a digital camera on this month...
So far, i've fallen in love with the Sony Cybershot DSC-P9 4.1 Megapixel digital camera. it's 550 dollars, which is my limit. I have 10% off, so that about covers tax.
Accessories Included
16MB Memory Stick, AC adapter/charger
Anyone have this camera?? I plan on purchasing a 256MB memory stick and the 2.5 Hour rechargable battery.
Any suggestions? How many 4MP shots would I be able to fit onto the 256MB memory stick? Will I need a reader for my computer to download the images from the memory stick?
Thanks in advance!!

the camera has a usb port so as long as you have the camera you can just plug it into your computer to transfer pic's. the MB just add up so if you are taking 4mb pic's you can get about 64 on a 256MB card.
a 4MB picture is prety big, it will probably slow down the camera and your computer. unless you plan on blowing up the pic's to poster size it will be over kill. you can try all the diferent resoloutions when you get the camera but on mine with the resolution that seems to give a crystal clear full screen shot on the computer i have file sizes of about 500k, so about 500pic's on that card.
i have a coolpix950, it was prety expensive since i got it several years ago but it is one gadget that i definately got my money out of.
