Ghetto Flames (video)

He asked if I could do a FlameJob on his car and I jokingly said sure, just get me some masking tape and razor blades and I'll do it on the spot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
He took it seriously and headed out to a nearby 24 hour AutoZone for some tape and an Exacto knife <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
Came back with the goods and handed it to me and I was like <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Time for me to eat my words I guess <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />
So I taped down the hood and fenders, sketched out some flames and cut them out in about 30 minutes <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
He had painted the car Midnight Blue about a week before using House of Krylon <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> , so it didn't matter that I cut into the paint with the razor (not the traditional way of doing flames)...
Anyhoo, the Flamelicks came out pretty good and I left it like that for him to paint in his garage today....
Haven't seen the finished product yet (I will on Friday), but I did make a short video of him cruising with the taped overlay <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

The soundtrack fits the video nicely.

<strong> if I send my t-tops up to you can you do those flames? thats BADASS! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Sure thing man, but you'll have to provide your own dust <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

He chose a lighter shade of Blue from House of Krylon like I suggested and I must say it came out pretty damn decent <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
The faded grainy texture and similar shade of of Base made it almost Ghostlike...
