best digital to wmv/mpg software my camera is a sony and it takes awesome video when i use the tape setting.. but when i stream it to my computer with the 'pixela' software it gets dissapointinly pixelated yet still has huge file size compared to what i see on here.

Re: best digital to wmv/mpg software i have been using windows movie maker lately, it makes very compact files and the quality is ok. it lets you choose the quality/file size.
on a recent movie i made http://members.***.net/parish88888/mam%203-29-03.WMV it gave me the options of files sizes from 500kb all the way up to 500mb <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> , i saved it somewhere in the middle and it is a 6mb file. check it out.

Re: best digital to wmv/mpg software Go get Virtualdub (free) as the frame server, Divx (free) as the compression agent. Takes a bit to learn, but you cant beat the price. I can take a full 2 hour dvd and fit it on a CD using the 2 pass mode on Divx at about 700 to 1000 BPS. You would be suprised at the quality. You should also compress the audio using MPEG3 at about 64 to 192 Kps. All is free on the net. Go to Doom9.org.
