hey man. what is doen to the 96GT? Any times? i had a 97 GT!! what mods you got on yours too??? i did so many trial and error with my car. i knew that thing inside out. if you ahve any questions let me know. i had my car for 4 yrs....

then i semi built the motor. '00 shortblock, cobra crank, PI heads shaved .03 with come cams stage 2 non PI cams xe268's mac L/T headers, dr gas x pipe, bullit intake, ander N/A powerpipe, car made 277hp/290tq and ran 14.2 @99 and on a 100 shot made 377hp/480tq and ran 13.05 @ 107
got retuned by someone else made 305hp/315tq ran 13.95 @ 102 on a 125 shot it made 420hp/530tq and ran 12.26 @ 116
now it has a procharger P1SC makin 12 #'s 430hp/403tq no times yet
but the motor is coming out to be fully forged, to handle 500+ w/o the N2O

wow.. i know that it takes a lot of money to mod the 96-98 GTs to make them semi fast.
my 97 GT. let me see i had it all modded with PI H/C/I and blew the motor a week later. oil pump too a **** score crank and both cams. Got a '98 motor. i already on the 97 motor had these mods, and i transferred them to the 98 obviuosuly.

with all that on my car, my best time was 14.01 @ 96.28 with a 1.86 60'.. go figure
Here the catch why i ran so fast too. my car was a rare GT-s had the engine option 248A. NO ABS, NO MACH 460, NO LEATHER, NO POWER SEATS, NO POWER WINDOWS, NO FOGS... i had a stripper model. only thing that was power was my mirrors. cloth interior all the way. my car weighed in with me and a full tank of gas and 2 10"s subs in the back, came in at 3,075 lbs....
so that is my story.. what ya think
