The reason that I read for the change from Bug to Camaro was that they went to VW to get the rights to use the Bug and VW told them they did not want thier cars used in a war movie.
Well if they had to change the little guy they picked a good replacment for him. I still have my orig. Bumble Bee from from 15 years ago sitting on my shelf in my office. I look forward to getting the new one and having them stand together.

If you think about it though, the fans of the original Transformers are now in their late 20s. So, it would be for their best interest to have the movie attract that genre.
