That sucks Ryan. I've been waiting for a rematch with the camaro.
Most people have or do drink and drive. No one will stop until they get that wakeup call. Sucks that your dose of reality hat to hit you so hard

Trying to get into a profession that saves lives, while in your spare time your trying to take them. Seems a little counterproductive to me.

Well, the first step is honesty and you seem to have come to terms with that already by your self, sucks regardless of what you wreck. It's just more salt in the wound because it was your nice *** LS1. Ends up being a rather humbling experience of which you can improve upon or worsen, looks like you've picked improvement.
"Next, Dr. Phil says to rebuild.".....You're car that is.

Good luck on the repair/build up of a new one.

Sorry to see this , I can relate in january of 06 I wrecked my 1998 camaro z28 , totaled it out. I was sick, but I learned my lesson and came back stronger (02 camaro z28). both are autos. please dont drink and drive , very fortunate to come out injury free. now part that car out and come back strong as ever

It'll be totalled out. My wreck was not as severe, bags didn't blow, and I had over $10k in damage; bent the frame rail a bit and crushed the main support beam going across the front. The bags blowing usually adds ~$3k to the damage estimate. Had my bags blown, mine would have been totalled.

Just a car, though... the important thing is that you're ok.

Well then looks like you need to stop drinking and driving more than staying away from and ls1. That may help, I ended up in a wheelchair from drinking and driving.

I used to be an adjuster for GEICO... it's a gonner. Try to gather as many reciepts for your mods and list everything and it's doller value so they can try and factor that into the settlement.

Remove all references to you doing illegal activities at the time of the wreck from this thread. Insurance companies scan most all major car forums... Members of GEICO's SIU department would monitor and search for certain terms.

HTH.

Better yet... PM the moderators and have this thread deleted. Then make a new one w/ pics only.

Most people? I'm willing to bet only 1 in 5 drink and drive or something along that line. No where near most people. That sucks he messed up his car, I liked it alot. Hopefully he learned his lesson and won't do it to the other one!
