TT 4 rotor BMW Drag Car
Was really surprised how it sounded at idle... obviously got the usual raspy high RPM sound of the rotary motors but at idle it actually sounded pretty bad ***
Sounds good or not its a pretty fast little ride...

Took 32 shots from two masked men armed with AR-15's, the island sure is tough.

I know plenty. Piston engines are capable of making much more power at a hell of a lot less RPM.
If they are so great, why is your FD LSX powered?
There are lots of piston powered vehicles that are a hell of a lot faster than the fastest rotary.

I'm not here to get into the Rotary vs Piston argument. Do you have any first hand experience with the Rotary? Are you knocking on it because something bad has happened to you? If not, how can you even say is a "gay" engine - because of some horror story you read on the forums from some people that have never even seen a rotary engine in person? Get real, man.

That is why I stated:
If you really must know why I switched over, here you are:
I have many friends with LS1's and very knowledgeable ones at that as most of them tune their own engines or others. I know a lot there is to know about a piston engine and how to diagnose one.
I also know about rotaries TO A CERTAIN EXTENT since there are some special tools used to diagnose and/or do upgrade. If something is wrong with my engine that I can't fix myself, I would have to travel 54 miles each way to the nearest Rotary mechanic - that would not be the case with my LS1.
It's all about resources and around here, there aren't any for Rotaries, otherwise I would have kept it and would have added a nice little snail on there.

EDIT: If you have any experience with Rotary's, I'd love to hear of some projects.

I have driven/ridden in RX7s and 8s. I helped a friend with his 13b more than once. I haven't owned one, and wont.
My car, my truck, and my ATV all use piston engines. Thats the way I like it.
i own a 87 and love the rotary, love how not many people have then or even understand them, also for the output they put for being so tiny. just something different than being in the same cookie cutter piston scene. but hey that's just me
As soon as he hit it I had to close the window. There is nothing more annoying than the sound of a Rotary engine.
Can't argue with the concept of a Rotary engine though.
