So, I'm guessing those cars are trapping ~140mph+ or so through the 1/4?

Not all, ALL factory yes, there are a few out there that have been converted over to awd.

no not all factory eclipses are were FWD. all the GSX's that i kno of where AWD, except i dont think they ever made any GSX verts

From the factory you are correct, but the car is far from the way it left the factory.

The Eclipse was not brake boosting in the first run. He has a pretty large turbo even for his 2.4. The second runs you can see his brake lights on beofre he starts hence the different outcome.

The Eclipse was not brake boosting in the first run. He has a pretty large turbo even for his 2.4. The second runs you can see his brake lights on before he starts hence the different outcome.
The Eclipse was also a full car ahead before they started the second race. That Vette almost pulled that car length back.
