Default Who is copying who?? (GTO ahead of its time?)

.....GM needs to step back and re-think its marketing strategies.

Late (Dead) GTO

2008 3-series Bimmer (obviously some copy cat chit goin on here) stare at the two for a minute....

....and the car that has satisfied BOTH parties to the fullest the 2009 Challenger

(look on any M3 forum..lots of guys selling out to buy a Challenger) Lutz shot for M3 owners when the car debuted back in 04? Nobody knew why he was after M3 buyers...Now we know.

Iam saying everyone wants a piece of M3/3-series sales #'s. GM tried it, but failed..then BMW copied the car that failed and Dodge has hit it on the head. I just hope the New Camaro strikes the same nerve. Feedback much apprciated and I know this sounds blurry..so am I LOL

I don't think there's too much copying going on.... a lot of cars share comparable similarities in shapes and placement but even when you look at just the front ends, every one of those three examples is its own car, and even moreso when you look at them from the rear. BMW's have their own allure, as does the M model in itself. It's hard for GM to produce something to compete even if the stats say it's better.

Challenger can burn and die. Sorry but it's just getting too much attention for a dodge IMO and is pissing me off. I'm making it my personal agenda to wax every single one I can and once they start getting modded, a cam's next on the list lol... dam... and I thought Mustangs pissed me off hahaha

"For a dodge"
Plymouth/Dodge where great muscle cars.

Mopar ruled the muscle car era, with 426 Hemi's and 440 Magnums.
Cuda's, Chargers', Dart's, etc...

Hey thats a pretty nice 5th Gen Camaro... for a chevy.

Don't get me wrong. I love the old Chargers (one of my favorite classic muscle cars) and I'd kill to own a Cuda but today they just seem like ugly chunks of plastic that were thrown together. They mean business, I know, especially the 6.1's and their 5.7 is nothing to sneeze at either but it's just not there for me any more.

Actually the 3 series are selling pretty good. Down here in Miami you see a few, but the amount of time it takes to get them is horrible. Two of my friends got one, one is the coupe the other a sedan. The sedan took about 2 weeks to get, and the coupe took more than 2 months to get. And my friend with the coupe got the non-turbo model, the sedan my friend got is the twin turbo. But my opinion is this yes the coupe is a nice looking car. But to tell you the truth i don't know how people can say that american car interiors suck. Because the only way the 3-series interior looks good is with the navigation. It looks incedibly plain without it.

I agree, I live in a town with a population of around 30k and Mustangs are everywhere. Mostly newer ones. I have seen a ton of gts, and I just saw a shelby down town a few weeks ago. Only one I know of here.

I will say the challenger concept(now a mule) looks more like its older version than the camaro does.
But its still stuck in the past with it's iron block and huge running lights.
maybe when they uncover the challenger they will have redesigned them....

My money is going to a camaro, might need a new grill, but much better curves.
