I bought a FORD................

Actually, maybe I shoouldn't be so closed minded? I have been looking for a truck for quite sometime. I looked at many makes and models. I only looked at Ford Rangers because they have Mazda (i guess that is just as bad) engines. I told my friends all my life I would rather push a Chevy than drive a FORD. I found this truck at a great price, bought it for my son (he turns 16 in Feb.) He hasn't registered yet, but I was hoping someone could make a funny sig. with funny saying. He loves my car, and I almost bought him a 95 Firehawk. But actually, I really like this truck. I am ready for the flames.

Ford actually makes a really good truck. However I have only owned 1 Ford pickup which was a 82 F150 with the stright 300ci. I'll admit that lil bitch ran like a raped ape even with a bad carb and sluge built up in the head. I do have to say that I love my lowered Chevy Silverado though.

The Ranger's 2.3, 3.0 and pushrod 4.0 are all 100% Ford. The SOHC 4.0 is a German engine that Ford now owns the rights to.

It's hard to tell in that pic due to the lighting, but judging by the rest of the option content of the truck, is that a 4.6?

If you like decent power and fuel mileage, then yes. They are a little easier to work on than a 5.4 though, especially when its time for spark plugs.

Well the FORD bit the dust. I was with him ( he is still 15). Was a hard hit, but we are ok. I may need that lawyer (Houston area) I see posted on LS1.tech all the time. I will post the details when I feel up to it. Main point of the story is DPS told me it does not matter if they were speeding, or ran a red light. You are responsilble if you pull out in front of them. I really have a good feeling this ticket may get dismissed. Anyway, I am looking for another car / truck for him. I hope this was the last wreck
