ben you need to get a 12 bolt and a clutch. well some gears too with that 12 bolt then it should be a way better out come.

150 shot wit a full bolt on cammed car is more then enough for those pigs! they maybe put alil more to the wheels but the weight difference with the f-body makes up for alot of it...witch explains why i see bolt on fbodys pullin on cobras with exhaust. once they get alil more modded then yea the fbody is gunna need a pretty good sized cam, and some juice

Depends on a lot of things, but mainly from a roll both cars should trap 130, but that's if he sprays a 200 shot, none of this bitch made 150 crap. Ask me how I know!

Also, what do you think LS1's weigh? Just interested cause I think most people give the Cobra 500+pounds over their LS1. And it's closer to 100-150.

See your car is lightened up quite a bit. I was talking about stock LS1 weight not racecar weight.

Cam only Vette we built +200 dry shot = 130 traps spraying in second gear. F body weighs more and is less aerodynamic. F bod with need a gear and at least a 200 to hang.

either way....vettes-fbodies, and cobras are one of the fastest cars rollin the streets

theres always sombody faster...so just run what you brung..if you lose you lose. go mod some more and race again!

Interesting. A guy recently posted his vid of his 232/234 cammed bolton, 150 shot TA. With a 12 bolt he ran 10.40's at 132mph. SO how is a 200 shot needed to hang with a Twin screw Cobra. I can find several vids of cars like this racing and usually the LS1 wins unless the KB/Whipple car is on race gas and 21+psi.

I love Cobras, you can check my post history sticking up for them on this site. My cousin recently sold his Whippled Sonic Blue 03 (redfire550hp on SVT performance) and also had a bolton Redfire 03. I just hate when people act like it takes an act from god to beat one when a nice sized cam boltons and a 150rwhp shot which also nets about 200rwtq will get it done. Unless the Cobra runs race gas and 21+ psi as mentioned before.

Twin Screw 03 are by far the best sounding cars in my book though.

that ta probly had a lot of weight reductions and set up for drag race only. i just know that the cars and truck in the vid could go across the nation come back and still runn those times. nothing is impossible... i figured that out the hard way, but a lot of things can be done.

Something just sounds wrong with that number. Maybe it was a bad driver or combo wasn't working good together. My cars weight is 3560 with me in it. I know the cobra are heavier but never got the true weight. I trapped almost 119 with a stock gear, slightly slipping clutch off the line, and shitty weather( 2 weeks ago). I am sure in great weather with a gear it will trap 121 or maybe a little better. I believe that an extra 150rwhp will net me 9 more mph. But a 130mph trap wasn't the goal for the car. An 11.5ish motor pass and breaking into the 10s on nitrous was. Im hoping that I can get my car somewhere in there range. I notice they hardly ever have a race come along because there much faster than everyone else with the exception of a few cars that are not regulars. Plus I want to race them at the track. As you can tell from the video they have serious traction issues on the street.
