i raced a mach that dynoed 293 to the wheels (exhaust, underdrive pulleys, programmer) with my catback lt1 and only got pulled by 2 cars from 25 to 120.
my lt1 also ran 8.6 in the 1/8 with street tires
after my lt headers, i probably would have been able to make up those 2 cars.
some of you kinda seem surprised to see the lt1 win??

i only ran 1 ls1 with my lt1- it was an intake exhaust a4 ls1 and my car pulled him a couple cars from a roll or dead stop.

I had an 03 Mach 1 with cams and every bolt on possible(except water pump) and would get beat every time by my firend's 02 Vette. The vette had full exhaust only and cai at the time. The Mach was running 357 hp at the time and my friends Vette was running just about the same power level. From a dig or from a roll the Mach would slowly get left behind every time. Funny thing is, in order to get to 357 hp on the Mach it took: cai, pulley, tune, full exhaust, full p&p manifold(cut in half and re welded) and tb, brisk plugs, 4 cams, 3.90 gears, carbon fiber driveshaft, mgw shifter, upper & lower contol arms, canton 9 qt road race oil pan w/ windage tray and baffles, and weight reduction. Same mods on an ls1 would net around 425-450.
