2008 ACR Edition Viper = Drooool Just announced today, Dodge will produce the ACR Viper again.

GM needs to follow... they are relegating corvettes to the "middle aged and retired" market too much.
Dodge at least is placating with the Comp coupe, and now this street legal beast. That's a way to get interest into your product, especially from the younger crowd.

GM's been kicking there *** with the C5R/C6R for so long who cares about another Viper.When the ZR1 comes out this will be old hat and the new king of the hill will be crowned...IMO it looks rice,I like the Zr1 much better

Joel, if you think this Viper looks like rice, then I have no hope for you. RICE cars try to copy racecars, this car is a street legal racecar. Did you not see the wind tunnel testing graphs on those wings and splitters? This car is about function, not trying to be rice.
I'm not sure if I like the ZR-1 yet, I haven't seen one. I can tell you this, if the ZR-1 looks too much like a regular C6, it will bore me. I really hope Chevy offers a more race-inspired version of the C6 like this ACR Viper. THAT would rule.

I hear ya. The styling definitely isn't for everyone. I only hope you guys can appreciate a street legal racecar that is more about function first. There are already posers on the Viper sites asking about cup holders and if they can get it without the wing. That is what the normal non-racecar Viper is for. Too many manufacturers build stuff that 'looks' like it could function, but is only for appearance. It is good to see at least one manufacturer that still gets it, and builds a special edition that serves a purpose on the track. This is similar to the previous Cobra-R Mustangs, etc..
Imagine how cool it would have been to see GM build us a track edition Camaro or Firebird, or even a GTO or Corvette. Those would look sick. Something with better brakes, better wheels/tires, tunable suspension, aero items, reduced weight, carbon fiber panels, etc...

I do agree the ZR1 will probably be vanilla but it will still be the king
The new camaro is uuuuuugly,I dont want that car..

I'll keep my GTO,It rides soooooooooooooooooooo nice...

That looks awesome. I agree with Nineball. Thats a great looking car. Im not feeling the new Camaro either. Guess I'm holding on to my ride a little longer unless the wife gives my the ok for a C5 or used C6.
