Probably a bit, but unless you want to go all out like these guys did, it actually takes very little to make a Supra fast since their bottom ends are so powerfull. Big single Turbo $3,000, exhuast $800, fuel system upgrade $600, dyno tune $500 = 600+ RWHP Supra for $4,900.

You'll need more than that (uh, engine management, FMIC, labor, etc. etc. etc.) and then it'll need top be run on race gas, and you're also paying out the *** for a 13 year old Toyota.
Supras are overrated.
You don't need all of that just to get 600+ RWHP. My buddy Nick had only those exact mods and dyno'd on a Mustang dyno of 624 RWHP (it was with race gas). And we did all the work on it (besides the dyno tune which was already included).

Lol, you're going to need more than you said. Your numbers aren't accurate. Ask your buddy if he has a FMIC and an upgraded clutch and I guarantee you he'll say yes.
Since every mod put in his Supra was done by the both of us, I think I know what he has. He did that on race gas as the pump gas he can only safely attain 504 RWHP (street tune with 14#'s of boost vs 21#'s on the C16). Turbo is an SP57 by Sound Performance. BTW, his car is an auto, not a manual.

He's content with the power he has for the money invested, and the car where it is. Frankly I can't blame him. He runs on street tires, so the tranny is holding up fine.

It's his car, but that thing is a timebomb. Sounds like it was pretty "rigged up," with very little thought put into long term reliability. No offense...
It was tuned pretty safe by Sound Performance in Chicago for both his street tune and the high boost with C16 tune. As for the tranny, he hasn't had any issues there either as I said before he runs on street tires, so once he gets in the boost he usually spins everywhere unless he's at highway speeds or faster. So far, he has put over 22,000 miles on it since we did all that stuff 4 years ago and he's beat on it pretty hard with no maintenance issues. I'd say he'll be just fine in the long run.
