I think part of it may have to do with it being more of a junkyard build than a high dollar car.
I'm also guessing that these turbo's hold up better to being ran at FULL BORE for 80-90 seconds better than the aftermarket turbo's that are used to 8-15 second bursts.

the powerstroke turbos are because they were cheap. It's a low buck buildup, for sure! the dyno pull lasted that long because we set it to load similarly to a run on the salt, which is a long 20 second pull in fourth gear, based on previous datalogs.
This session was to test a problem we'd been having with valve guides backing out at WOT under high load. Problem appears solved!

on pavement, sure. the studebaker has been clocked at 251mph exit speed at Bonneville, after the above video was made. I saw the hennesey viper do 230 at Maxton's standing mile last April as well. Built vipers are no joke!
