Yeah I just got a Nikon D200 for graduation, and gotta take some pics and get into this technique.

yes true, to get a true HDR you need multiple(5+) exposures however many of the new programs can generate a HDR outta one exposure... i.e. photomatix pro

Bad95killer I really want to see what yours will look like this is the best I could do with one exp.

OK, so maybe my understanding of HDR photography is different than actuality, but I thought that it was the post processing of several exposures of the same picture peiced together with software?

Again... I agree with you a TRUE HDR is multiple exposures, however you can still create an HDR with a single shot in some third party programs...

First one is my new wallpaper. i was getting into that a while back, i just bought a new camera but i'm not too sure it'll be able to create the quality needed for HDR picture, quality ones anyhow. but it'll be fun trying.
