Never seen it but I have never raced past 150 on the street anyways. Car saw 163 (calculated) with 500rpms to go.

Anyways I do like the SRT8s specially the Chrysler and Jeep. Would make a great family car, cool to see they have finally began tearing into the tuning with them.
Lets put it this way. I have a full bolt on 6 spd SS and when I messed with my wife in the SRT8, I decided not to even make a vid and you see I put the SS is for sale.

This thread isnt about what car is fatser, we are talking about a 4100lb 4dr car that will run mid 12's (CAI/Tune) and top 175 for $30K. Its a hell of a deal and very impressive, as the reason for this thread by Livernois.

Check the LS4 section of this fourm and you'll see mid to low 13's with tune, exhaust, and K&N's on the LS4. Also a kill list.

Some of the Sponsers should welcome the LS4 for mods.

Yea, I could see them outrunning the 5.7's. I dont see them tickling the 12's @ 108-110 mph stock though like the SRT8's. The G8 was almost as fast as the Charger SRT8 they tested it aginst and that Charger was only trapping like 105-106 if I recall correctly so that is the slower of the norm. Im confident the G8 is quicker than the Monte.

Actually if anyone with a Monte or G8 locally reads this post, shoot me a PM and we can make a quick vid with our SRT8. Thats the only way to settle ramblings like we have begun.

While stock I beat an SRT8 Jeep, 300C, and Magnum, and while only header/intake/tune modded, I beat up on an SRT8 Charger. All of the Mopars were stock, however. Highway runs from rolls, too. Haven't run anyone since getting cammed. The SRT8s are definitely making some power; don't take one to the twisties though

A guy I know locally wants to run his SRT8 Charger, but refuses to do it until he puts his supercharger on

I told him I'd do before and after but nooooo...

Why not, he could atleast have fun looking at the back of your car.
Nice Vette. I guess since ours is a DD, it makes the little racing we do that much more fun, your ego isnt so much involved. Now if its his project car, I could see he just doesnt want to lose.

there was recently a srt8 jeep for sale in wilmington NC that I tried to get the wife to look at. It was maroon, 19K miles and they wanted $24,600 for it.....she didn't want to go look

I like the srt8 line up, but brand new they are a decent amount of money and the srt8 charger that i put bus lengths on didn't impress me at all, considering it makes 425hp.

Yeah I don't get it, I'm fully confident I'd walk him now but after the supercharger is on, he'd walk me with ease. It'd make a great reference for his progress.

That's what the Charger R/T has, 5.7 and the 300's' could be both 5.7 or 6.1, I never asked the drivers. I have not raced a Charger SRT8. I'm sure he'll hand me my tail, but not afraid.

I know the G8 is quicker, 361 HP vs 303 HP. No need for sample race. Try the G8 and SRT8, better match.

Im still impressed by the tune of the Hemi's, too bad they don't make one for the LS4

You really think he'd walk you with the Supercharger? Don't forget the weight difference, after all it has alot to do with power to weight ratio. Heck with that RW you should be trapping 122-125? Have faith bro, Fred

The weight of them is a big factor. We have a guy down here that put heads and cam on a magnum srt8 and all the supporting mods(stall, headers and so on) and it ran 12.60 on street tires and it went 12.30 with drag radial tires on the back. It put 453 at the wheels and when sprayed with a 75 shot it put 507/576 at the wheels. An f-body with that same power would be well into the 11's.

Do you guys do mail order tuning for the SRT8 or does it need to be a dyno tune? I'm looking at picking up an SRT8 jeep and would LOVE this.

Nice numbers. A friend of mine with an SRT8 Jeep tuned his with a diablo, cold air intake, and put a catback on it and ran a 12.99. We were all amazed!
