I wrecked (totalled) my 01' SS Oct 05', was on a "new" road to me, at night, and there was no sign saying to slow down, 90* turn ahead, so I kinda slid off the road, went through a chain link fence and knocked over a telephone pole. Walked away, wasnt even sore, but my car wasnt so lucky. The frame was bent, the firewall had a hole in it (dont know how that happened) but it was around 15K in damage. The limit was 55 mph and I was doing about 60 mph....

You can see what remains of the telephone pole (not much)

Mine was sad too I had literally driven the car about a dozen times before the accident. Some *** hat in an F-250 cut in front of me and the car in front of him slammed on his brakes so in the chain of events so did he right in front of me. I had to swerve to keep from *** packin him and at 65 with bald tires the rear started to fish tail and i just couldnt save it and pulled a nascar on the center divide.

on a wet night i took a turn a left turn at an interstection and ended up sliding over a curb at around 40mph and into a telephone pole, probably only at 20mph. no frame damage but the k member had moved a quarter of an inch and the claim to fix it would have been $6900 70% of the cars estimated value. airbags didnt even deploy, but they said i needed three new wheels all of which according to statefarm had to be oem GM ($300 a wheel from crest)

I am surprised they totalled your car!

Here was ours after being clipped and spun off the freeway at 60-65 mph during a rainstorm. Hit a wall on the D/S...

my z28

on my way to school a girl who i knew rear ended me in her blazer(had a brush guard on the front) and i got pushed into the truck in front of me. insurance totaled it. i didn't want it to be parted out since it was still in such good condition so i sold it to a friend of my dad's for $500. he's currently rebuilding it.

sucks though because i only had it a month and i got a good deal. $5000 for a 93 in MINT and i mean MINT condition. only cosmetic flaw was acorn dents on the hood and little paint stuff on the roof. had 65k miles, CAI, shift kit, and exhaust. so sad. took almost 2 months for insurance to get me my money.

Man this thread rocks!!

Glad to see you walked away from that crash with no seatbelt on.

As for the guy who was hit by the drunk driver whom died.... i know it may be disheartening for me to say, but his fault
