Default Dropping Motor From Bottom Clip...

Hey guys here is a little speed clip I put together of just how easy the final task in getting the motor out from the bottom is. I've got a thread in the ltx section where I'm doing a full R&R video on it.

Yes I admit that was stupid...lol. That was me...

After the first time watching I was kind of tripped out about it although my Nike soft leather basketball shoes probably wouldn't have made much of a difference.

Yes I used my STB which made it easy...if you don't have one though you can easily use 2 holes found on each side at the front of the body which I show in my motor R&R video.

Yes sir when the time comes. I'm going 383 stroker build and I'm doing it all myself so it will be roughly 3 weeks...

just a recommendation to put some lights under the car when recording that so we can see cuss from about the car's body down it's all black lol. cant see anything


the chain didnt slip on you side to side while on the STB?

Nah no slipping we used a "retainer bolt" put through two links of it. Matter of fact we also made a clip of that haha...



I'm telling you the video is designed to show EVERY step...

i winder is it is the same for when I take the motor out of my Formy? LMK if it is cuz i will definitely be downloading that video.. Cant wait to see the motor go back in bro.. Peace

It is the exact same for your Firebird. The motor will be back in by the 1st with a fresh 383 that I also did a video how to on.

after pulling the motor from the top in my car and removing the k member, ive come to the understanding that its easier from the bottom. nice video

very nice vid.. I done two swaps out the bottom it is the only way to go.. I had a lift as well makes it even easier...
