my and I dad driving my back from cali. w/open headers the entire drive home. sorry for the poor video quality i dont know how to use the editing programs

ok that's bad, you can break a valve going WOT with open headers.

no my valves are fine its just i have a spun rod bearing so its time for a new shortblock

A myth that i have yet to have seen proven. I have heard if you get enough cold air to get uplifted in to the headers that you can say goodbye to your heads but yet to see proof.

i ran open headers for about 3 months had no prob ever i didnt even have 02's hooked up that is a total myth

i think he got it mixed up with burning a valve. . .but usually you dont have that issue with long tubes - it's mostly if you do it with a manifolds car or shorties because you have less travel. i know 1000s of drag cars and street cars who've ran open headers at the track. it by no means is suggested but your not going to brake anything like i said worse that happens is you burn up a valve - but i've only heard that with stock manfiold cars.

ok i was just confused because there was an entire thread about this like 4 pages long and everyone said it ***** **** up. Im not running o2 sensors right now but it does feel slower

ya you should definetly get the 02 sensors plugged in because other wise it could ruin something because the 02 sensors somehow adjsut your air to fuel mixture ratio and if its to lean you will have something go wrong and if its to rich you are just wasting gas and its not using it efficently and could be wasting power

well i bought the short block . It's a 408 from HKE with prc stage 1 243 heads and an ms4 maybe a few more ponies and a new video should be soon
