A true.. "fire" bird
That really isn't that hard of a photoshop.
Second... how much flammable material is in an engine bay? Would there be that much fire for long enough for only somewhat dry grass to spread the fire as far as it went? I seriously doubt it.
Your making WAY too many ASSumptions there bud. There is a **** load of flammable material under the hood of your car. Whats on the ground is probably where the air dam caught fire and started to burn up.
And you've obviously never tried to burn grass, even DRY grass on fire is hard to get to spread.
Looks 100% real to me, and Ive seen no less than 10 car fires in my day.
I live in missouri... we do controlled burns occasionally, it spreads like... well, like fire... fast, and it burns out really fast, but it keeps spreading. Really, really fast.
Guess these are chops as well because the fire started in the engine bay

The one thing that get's me is I expected more black smoke like in the other pics you posted. If somebody said I took this pic and it's real I'd believe em' It's just that on the interweb almost nothing it what it seems.
I'm a photoshop rookie and here is something I did messing around for 30 mins. Fire and smoke effects are not too hard to manipulate, I am sure if i spent enough time even at my skill level I could do it better.

Maybe it's your monitor
For all the doubters here's the link to the post. How you guys cant tell it's real is still unbelievable. I'm sure if I asked the guy would post the unsized original photos which will contain all the EXIF data

In the blue circle the fire is burning on the OUTSIDE as if a liquid flammable were running down over the hood and bumper, not from the inside out like it should have been. The ONLY way for that fire to look like that in the blue would be if a liquid were on fire and running down teh hood and bumper and onto the ground. That fire has clearly been placed on the vehicle.
Good chop, but just not quite right
What about the flames that are on the bottom of the bumper? IE Its completely plastic so the way it burns doesnt matter. The red circle looks about the bottom of the windshield. Could the flames be coming from the cowl area?!?! GASP!
LMAO!!! This is so stupid.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
high end slr cameras can make a picture almost appear to be fake, because of all of the detail they capture.
metal and paint can burn causing an actual flames.
ever since people became aware of photoshop and shows like CSI, everyone thinks their a damn expert with investigation.

Ive seen cars and trucks burn down to the ground about 6 times. Last deployment a DoD Suburban hit an IED and by the time we responed (took about 10 minutes) the truck was almost all gone. The glass had completely melted. The engine block was running down the road. The wheels were almost completely melted.
What specifically can the fire not do? Have you ever watch it climb up a curved surface just like its doing in the second pic? Its acting exactly like it should.
