Default formal complaint

Just letting everyone know I had to file a complaint with the better business bureau against Custom Racer or Custom Performance Automotive. The companies on the right of this forum are there for a reason and I recommend everyone use them. I ordered parts 5 weeks ago from custom racer and have never recieved them, they did deduct money from my account. They also will not answer my e-mails. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of buying from them. Stay the F**K away!

Thanks for the heads up, could you provide their address or website so everyone here knows which company it is and will avoid them?

Thanks

Sorry it took so long to get back but there adress is www.customracer.com I did more research on them. They have an automated answering machine that is always to full to leave message and there address is bogus. Sounds like the web page and company is a fraud. I was duped but I learned from it, hope you listen to me.

you know, going through that web sight it looks alot like race net one that got shut down. they ripped me off so i sigged my credit card company on them and got my money back. race net was shut down. i wonder if they reopened in a different name?

if you are spending a lot of cash for something USE A CREDIT CARD!!!!!!!!! not paypal not a m/o or check. with most credit cards you have 2 months to recieve your goods, if you dont you call the credit card and get your money back, its simple. if a company doesnt take credit cards then find one that does!
private party sales are different. references, and as much info as you can get. if the guy im buying from doesnt give me his phone number (which i call to verify) i dont buy. dont get blinded by the cost or savings. if you can get a 400.00 part for 250.00 and never get it you just paid 650.00 for it. sorry for the ramble. ive been screwed and screwed them back(them getting a collection bill for 2400.00
must have been fun to watch!)
paypal sucks also. even though they say they are there for you they are NOT!

I was ripped off by this company too. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the IFCC. Have you heard anything back from the company or the BBB yet.

My son has also been burned by this company ($802) and I'd love to hear any information anyone might provide ... especially owner related info. The old owner of Race Net One was Carlos Rodriguez ... is it a coincidence that the person I got on the phone when calling Custom Performance was a Carlos who claimed his last name was Gonzalez?? The websites are almost identical and I'm in contact with one of the manufacturers listed with my story to see if they can help with any info.

What if you call one of the companies who's products they carry to see if you can get some info on them. I see they sell slp stuff. maybe someone from there could help you to get in contact with them.

I did do that last year - emailed almost every supplied they had listed and was blessed to get hooked up with Rex Orr from American Sports Car Design. That's how I got the guy's personal cell phone number ... wish I could have seen his face on that one :-), but it was a small victory. Unfortunately, they just stopped answering all phones and emails and claim to have moved to the Miami area, then "out of business". That's where the company is that has supposedly purchased some of their assets although they claim to have no employees from the old company. Many of the other suppliers on their original website also told me they had problems with Race Net One and FT Force ... they weren't even a legitimate distributor to many of the suppliers - they were taking orders and advertising their parts, but didn't carry them and the manufacturers wouldn't sell to them either. Carlos Rodriguez is VERY SLIPPERY!!! I spoke to him on only two occasions, and believe me, I've been persistant. Managed to get his SS# in my detective work, but haven't been successful tracking him by that either! But by all means BUY, BUY, BUY from American Sports Car Design ... they are top shelf all the way!!!
